Kochi: Vinod P, professor at the department of computer applications, Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat), and Jasna M and Manoj M, alumni of the physics department, have been chosen for the Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions (MSCA) fellowship instituted by the European Union/European Commission to support research in the European Research Area (ERA). Vinod received the fellowship for his project ‘OPTIMA: Organization Specific Threat Intelligence Mining and Sharing’, which aims at enhancing the effectiveness of cyber security protection systems to safeguard organizations from data breaches. The grant amounts to Rs 1.58crore. This project will be executed at the University of PaduaJasna’s project will be hosted at the Microelectronics Research Unit at Oulu University, Finland. The fellowship is worth Rs 1.67 crore while Manoj’s project, which received a fellowship of Rs 1.81 crore, will be hosted at the University of Eastern Finland. tnn
